Terminus - Prologue
A downloadable game for Windows
You open your eyes for what feels like the first time.
The voice tells you what you need to know.
No, not a voice.
An idea.
That "we" are the future.
A directive.
Wipe the slate clean. The old ones are done.
But this isn't right.
You've opened your eyes before.
In a different time and place.
You know what must truly be done.
Voices be damned.
Stop the uprising before it can begin.

Pfffft... Okay, did I make it? This was supposed to be an entry for E1M1's Raycasting Game Maker Jam... And I think the upload finished with mere seconds to spare...
I got to the jam late, with only around a week before deadline, so I quickly settled on a limited colour palette and sci-fi horror as the theme and hit the ground running... IRL commitments notwithstanding, natch.
The further along I got, the more I realised I simply wouldn't have the time to throw in everything I wanted. As such, the game as it stands only features two weapons, three enemy types and a significant reliance on default RGM assets.
This being said, I'm pleased with the original elements so far - the pixelgore looks suitably gooey even considering the limited palette, the weapon animations have weight to them, and the soundtrack, while basic and brief, is evocative enough that it'll give me plenty to build on moving forward.
And too right I'll be building.
Terminus. Now that sounds like a franchise...
Is there a Patreon? Of course there's a Patreon...!

I downloaded the game fully excited about it because it looked amazing but it just ended up being extremely buggy. My player is just constantly looking around even though i didnt press anything and there is nothing wrong with my keyboard.....
I also made a Doom 2 demake game on this constructor
That's a fun watch, cheers for that!
Hooboy, I knew it'd be a short one, but just shy of seven minutes? Eep...
A more fleshed-out update is definitely in the pipeline...!
